Since their formation in 1996, Linkin Park has sold more than fifty million albums and won two Grammys. With their debut album, Hybrid Theory, they achieved mainstream success; the album was certified Diamond by the RIAA in 2005.

Their following studio album, Meteora, continued the band's success, topping the Billboard 200’s album charts in 2003, and was followed by extensive touring and charity work around the world.

Recognized for their adaption of the nu metal genre into a radio-friendly style in Meteora and Hybrid Theory, the band’s album, Minutes to Midnight branched away from their previous nu metal sound, venturing into a variety of other genres. The album topped the Billboard Charts and became the third best debut week of any album for the year.

They are also known for their several collaborations, most notably with rapper Jay-Z in their mash-up album Collision Course, and many other artists on Reanimation. With so many forward-thinking looks in a catalog of just four albums, the band found imaginative ways of tying them together in 2012’s diverse Living Things. Like all of their prior records, it bowed at number one on the Billboard 200 and debuted at #1 in over 20 countries.

Linkin Park’s global touring numbers are even more ridiculous than their album sales. On their most recent tour cycle, the band played to over a million people, in 79 shows, on six continents.  Since their inception, Linkin Park have prioritized exploring innovative means of connecting with their vast fan base. They were among the first artists to capitalize on the power of social media so it’s no accident that they’re the biggest rock group on Facebook, with over 57 million likes as of the fall of 2013.
